If you’ve ever visited the Oregon Coast, chances are you have witnessed the magic, the healing, and the joy it brings.

Standing with your toes buried in the sand, the sound of waves crashing and a deep breath of the crisp ocean air brings oneness with nature and vanquishes any stress, fear, or doubt at that moment.

Over the last few years, I’ve taken over 127 trips to the Oregon Coast.

These were the joyful moments I’ve witnessed and photographed with my SamsungGalaxy phone camera.

I invite you to take 2 minutes and 13 seconds of your day to watch this video to experience this magic, to experience this joy.

Perhaps if you live close to a body of water, you will spend some time this week for yourself there to nourish your spirit with joy, connection, and freedom.

Did you know that what we focus on expands?

In today’s world, it’s so easy to focus on all the negative issues going on in our country. We are inundated every day with “Did you hear that…? That’s so F*cked up!”

After a while, it becomes almost addicting and then numbing to follow the events of the world. I know I catch myself glued to new channels and articles.

Here’s the thing, we have a choice in what we focus on similar to the choice of what food we put into our bodies. Our minds also receive junk or nourishment. The more junk we choose, we find our minds obese with negativity.

What if we took a moment each day to shift our focus to something positive, inspiring, and joyful?

Perhaps a little dose of that here and there could be the foundation of some new habits that not only expand our experience of fulfillment in life but could be the catalyst for more connection and healing in our communities and country.

My invitation to you is what’s one joyful thing you can focus on for just a moment today that will nourish our heart and mind?
