Friends in The San Francisco Bay area or if you have friends here.
I am organizing a Happiness Sprinkling event this Thursday as a part of my #JoyfulLivingProject and in partnership with The Happiness Sprinkling Project to bring together the community and spread joy.
If you are in Oakland Thursday morning or have friends who live here, I’d like to invite you to join us!
Getting ready for our first Happiness Sprinkling.

What is a Happiness Sprinkling?
A gathering of people holding signs that remind us of hope, possibilities, kindness, appreciation, and joy. In today’s world with so much negativity, stress, and suffering, sometimes a message is all it takes to remind us of a positive choice we may have.

The Joy of Silence
So for the second night in a row, the smoke detector started chirping at 3 am. If you’ve ever had a smoke detector that is low on batteries chirping, you know how crazy this can drive you.
Unable to sleep, I drove down the empty street to get 9V batteries at 7-11.
When I got back, I realized that the smoke detector was way up on the ceiling. I had no ladder to reach it.
Still in a brain fog from 3 am, I had to get creative and stack a fire log on this skinny stool and hope that I could balance on it.
With miraculous feat like you see in Cirque du Soleil, I was able to replace the battery.
Even though I risked life and limb, the silence was music to my ears, especially at this crazy hour.
