Yesterday I shared my recipe a brine that I use to keep my turkey moist and flavorful during the roasting process.
In this post I share the second secret part of my amazing Thanksgiving turkey. It’s the lemon garlic herbed butter.
I use this special versatile butter for the turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, and anything else you can think of.
If you are dairy-free, you can substitute butter with olive oil. Note that it will not solidify into cubes.
Below are the ingredients and a video of me preparing this.
Salted, melted butter, minced fresh garlic, chopped rosemary, sage, and thyme, lemon.
Once mixed, pour it into a baking pan and refrigerate. When ready to use, cut into small cubes.
For the turkey, I insert cubes of the garlic butter under the skin and throughout. For other dishes I melt it drop cubes into each. They add a wonderful flavor. When it’s not Thanksgiving, I wrap a cube of this garlic herbed butter in a beef patty for an awesome burger.
There you go, here’s a way to add some more joy to your dishes.
Let me know how it turns out and how you like it.
