The Joy of Home

This was a moving day for me. It’s the 4th home in 12 days. Granted the first 3 were in the first 3 days driving from Portland to San Francisco.

It’s been wonderful staying put in one place for 10 days. I finally felt grounded by day 7.

Today, however, I felt total anxiousness and stress again packing everything up and loading my car to go to a new home.

Over the next week, I will be staying with a dear friend in Pacifica.

As I made my way on the highway, I started to feel some relief.

I guess this is the part that I will get used to over the next 18-months on this journey picking up every so often to start over in a new home. It’s definitely emotionally taxing, especially not knowing where I will be staying a week or two out.

My dream and hope is that as the journey continues, I will be connected with an aligned hotel or hospitality brand like Kimpton Hotels or others to explore possible partnerships and sponsorship of the #JoyfulLivingProject. That way I can create content, promote, and build a community supporting them and my project while having peace of mind and knowing I have a place to stay for the month in each city I visit.

If you can connect us, or have other ideas or connections for housing as I travel, I would love to hear.

In the meantime, I am so grateful for the generosity and kindness of each person who has shared with me the gift and joy of home.

Thank you Terry Lee Stroh and Dwight Stroh, Amanda Winn , Scott Brandstetter , Jocelyn Manuel, Ursula Bischoff, Jennifer Gibbings, Stefanie Edenburn
